FAL Property Group commenced operations back in early 2007. At that time, our trading name was FAL Commercial, and our initial business plan was quite different. We started out as a commercial real estate agency specialising in sales of retail, office and industrial buildings. The first couple of years were booming and business was great. Then came the GFC, and all our deals started to evaporate. Sellers were stunned and were sitting on their hands, whilst buyers were scared and did not want to invest in any property. So, we decided it was time to diversify. We started doing leasing transactions, and that market was still very much alive. It was a fast-paced side of the business that demanded a lot of attention, but with the right direction it was a flourishing operation.


Then a few years later, we started to see many opportunities to manage commercial properties. We finally decided to dive in and take our first management. It was a steep learning curve, but with the right people, the right training, the right systems and the right technology; our property management division grew and started to attract some very good clients and high-grade properties.


Now 10 years later, we just celebrated our 10th birthday in 2017. As part of this milestone, we thought that we needed to update our identity, our brand. In 2007, the people that we were, the team members that we employed, the clients that we serviced and the properties that made up our portfolio we quite different. Like any business, ours evolved for the better over the years. We are now the fastest growing commercial real estate agency in Queensland, we have one of the largest private commercial property management portfolio’s in the state, we hire property managers and facilities managers with decades of experience, we operate the most sophisticated property management software on the market and our sales and leasing team are surpassing client expectations on a weekly basis. It’s because of this change and evolution that we wanted to let our clients, team and associates know that we have morphed into a business that is reputable, progressive, respectful and driven.


In addition, our offerings have widened. We now also offer a facilities management service for landlords who want to retain some control of the general management of their asset, but need someone to look after the plant, equipment, contractors for preventative and reactive maintenance. We are also the only real estate company to offer a fire compliance service in-house, where we can offer services ranging from maintenance of wet pipe systems, fire panel maintenance, evacuation training to diagrams and plans.


So in light of this change and looking ahead to the next 10 years, we decided to update our name to FAL Property Group, alongside our colours, vision and mission. We have kept our root of ‘FAL’ which stands for ‘Feeney and Levesque’, the 2 founders and only 2 current directors of the company.


We hope you have noticed our new branding on the signboards on the street, or online on the various property portals that we advertise on. And we hope you like this change as much as we do.
